Daniel Akinshola
Director

Daniel officially started a career in the theatre as an actor in 1991 but steadily rose through the ranks to become a theatre producer and director within a few years. A graduate of Adult Education and Political Science and post graduate diploma in Theatre Arts where he majored in directing and theatre for development. Daniel went on to have an illustrious career for over 10 years in the Nigerian media production space directing over 200 commercials, soap operas, game shows, reality shows, fashion shows, concerts and the prestigious KKB show. Daniel completed a Masters in Moving Image from University of Sydney Australia in November 2019 and a Masters in Arts Education from Simon Fraser University, Canada. Voice of Blood, a short film written, produced and directed by Daniel has won several awards in Indie film fest (USA), Independent short Awards (USA), Indie Short fest (USA), ALTFF (Toronto Canada) and SCA Directors vision Awards (Australia) to mention a few. Daniel resides in Kamloops British Columbia and is the founder of Kamloops Afro Films and One House Multicultural Communications Society.

Ms Martin has over 15 years of extraordinary work
experience in diverse fields especially in the Non-Profit, Corporate, Business and Community
Development Programs with a keen interest in impact storytelling. Prior to coming to Canada, Ms. Martin worked as a
Regional Consultant and Program coordinator for UN Women 2017 providing leadership to the East
and South African countries on Women’s Economic Empowerment and a Principal Partner to Sustainable
Economic Development Organizations. Ms. Martin also holds an associate degree in Business Studies from Cambridge International Ms. Martin currently volunteers in leading with strategic planning and governance with the Kamloops Afro Films focused on inclusive storytelling and increasing representation of the Black community in motion pictures and film production in British Columbia. Ms. Martin through her work on Anti-Racism and cultural promotion won the 2022 BC Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Awards. During her spare time, Ms. Martin can be found enjoying nature, reading, meditating, dancing, writing and cooking.Sally is also the Executive director of Valid Dreams Foundation in Kamloops, British Columbia.
Emmanuel Inyang (screen name 'Manuel N. Inyang) took to acting professionally May 1999 performing on stage at the MUSON Centre, Terra Kulture, University of Lagos Theatres and the likes and also with Ikoyi Baptist Church Drama Team aka Word On Stage (WoS) Ministry. He was also an active member of the All Universities Gospel Theatre Artistes (AUGTHA), Ado-Ekiti branch and was President of the said group twice between 2004 and 2006. He rose in the ranks from being an actor to becoming a Director with WoS in 2013 and also the Drama Festival Coordinator/Producer, a position he held till 2022.
In 2016, he veered off to the screen and had cameo appearances for cinema movies like "Love is War" (Omoni Oboli) and 2018 in an Africa Magic soap, "Baby Drama" among others. That same year, he started his production house, IMA Productions and co-founded TWiM Productions, taking him to scriptwriting, directing and producing for both houses with over 20 short films/skits hoisted on their separate YouTube channels and also on the stage at the Freedom Park, Lagos. He is a graduate of Economics from the University of Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria and a master’s degree in human resource management (HRM) from the University of Mediterranean Karpasia, Cyprus. Emmanuel lives in Kamloops, BC and is a volunteer with the Kamloops Afro Films
(KAF) as the HR/Admin executive with KAF. Also a committee member of the first black film festival in Kamloops held by the Kamloops film society and Valid Dreams foundation.

Helen Pogoson
Financial controls
Helen’s passion for acting and storytelling can be traced back to her pre-professional days. Growing up with hilarious parents made her decide to be a Comedian at least to carry on the family glory although discovering expressive expressions felt like she had found her calling which thrusted her into acting. She has been an actress since she was 8, acting in both school and church plays. In 2013, Helen had the opportunity to explore professional Modeling, giving birth to another artistic side as a learning but enthusiastic designer. During this time, she also led a student organization, The Royal family; a theatre group, with the purpose of educating youths and adults on good character, creating awareness about various issues facing our world, eradicating depression, and improving lives.
When she isn’t acting or modeling, Helen works in the Mental Health industry, as an Addictions Support Worker, dedicated to helping clients relearn how to live in the society independently while building their confidence against systemic discrimination and maltreatment. Outside of work, Helen enjoys music, movies, dancing and learning new languages. Helen currently volunteers as the Financial Executive for the Kamloops Afro Films (KAF) and looks forward to adding value to the society through her skills and trainings.

As a Director of Photography, my journey into the realm of visual storytelling began with an insatiable curiosity for capturing moments. With a foundation in Theatre and Visual arts, I honed my skills in composition, lighting, and visual aesthetics, translating my passion into a career behind the camera lens. My professional narrative is threaded with diverse experiences across film, and photography where each project served as a canvas for me to weave emotion into imagery. Collaborating closely with directors, creatives and production teams, I strive to encapsulate the essence of every story through evocative visuals, employing a nuanced understanding of color, texture, and framing to breathe life into each frame. My portfolio spans genres, from captivating dramas to high-octane action sequences, allowing me to adapt my craft to diverse storytelling styles. I find fulfillment in the challenge of balancing technical precision with creative intuition, crafting visual narratives that resonate with audiences on a profound level. Throughout my career, I've embraced emerging technologies, harnessing the latest tools and techniques to push the boundaries of visual storytelling. Yet, amidst the technological evolution, I remain anchored in the belief that the heart of cinematography lies in the ability to evoke emotions and captivate audiences through the art of visual storytelling. Driven by an unyielding passion for crafting immersive worlds through the lens, I continue to seek projects that offer unique opportunities for creative expression, perpetually striving to harness the power of imagery to transcend storytelling boundaries.
Titilope Ojo

Titilope Ojo, a passionate individual with a deep love for entertainment, discovered her passion at a young age. She found herself drawn to the world of film and performance, which led her to be featured as a background performer on the sets of two renowned film houses, Djtcasting and Madlib.
Currently, Titilope holds the esteemed position of a social media executive at Kamloops Afro films, where she utilises her skills and expertise to promote and engage with the audience. Her role involves managing various social media platforms, updating captivating content, and ensuring a strong online presence for Kamloops Afro films

During production, our team works collaboratively to bring the story to life, and in post-production, we put the final touches to make sure the film is ready to be shared with the world.
